D2neXt Honors the Life and Legacy of E. Ginger Sullivan, Esq.

Remembering a mentor, advocate, philanthropist, and one of the individuals whose encouragement and belief helped inspire the founding of D2neXt.

LOS ANGELES, CA — June 15, 2026 — D2neXt joins family, friends, colleagues, and communities around the world in mourning the passing of E. Ginger Sullivan, Esq., while celebrating a life defined by service, leadership, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to others.

The following statement is shared by D2neXt Founder and CEO Duan L. Dempsey:

Today, I learned of the passing of E. Ginger Sullivan, Esq., and I find myself reflecting not only on her extraordinary life, but on the profound impact she had on my own.

Many people knew Mrs. Sullivan as an attorney, global health advocate, philanthropist, cancer awareness spokesperson, champion of the arts, and the devoted partner of Dr. Louis W. Sullivan, founding president of Morehouse School of Medicine and former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services under President George H.W. Bush. Her influence extended across healthcare, education, and communities around the world.

I had the privilege of knowing her on a much more personal level.

My relationship with the Sullivan family began in 2008 when I started doing IT work for Dr. Sullivan on a part-time basis. Over time, that role grew into directing and supporting the technology infrastructure behind his various professional and personal operations. What began as a working relationship evolved into something much more meaningful over the years.

As I continued supporting the family, Mrs. Sullivan became a trusted source of wisdom and encouragement. When I first began developing the idea that would eventually become D2neXt, she helped me think through how to present my vision and communicate my value. Looking back, many of the foundations of my entrepreneurial journey were shaped through conversations with her.

When I made the decision to leave Atlanta and relocate to Los Angeles to pursue my dream, Mrs. Sullivan told me that if anybody could make this company happen, it would be me. Those words stayed with me. Behind them was her unwavering belief in people and her remarkable ability to make others feel seen, valued, and capable of achieving more than they imagined.

Shortly after my relocation, when I was ready to turn that vision into reality, Dr. Sullivan believed in me enough to invest in the idea. That investment became the foundation upon which D2neXt was launched in 2015. While Dr. Sullivan provided the investment, Mrs. Sullivan provided something equally valuable: the confidence, guidance, and encouragement that helped me believe the dream was possible in the first place.

Over the years, our relationship evolved far beyond business. Mrs. Sullivan became like a second mother to me. Whether visiting their home in Atlanta or having the opportunity to spend time with her and the Sullivan family at their home in Martha’s Vineyard, she always welcomed me with warmth, hospitality, and genuine interest in my life. The memories created during those times together are ones I will forever cherish. We shared countless conversations about travel, leadership, service, and the importance of leaving a positive impact on others.

As I reflect today, I realize that Mrs. Sullivan’s greatest accomplishment was not simply the many causes she championed or the institutions she helped strengthen. It was the countless lives she touched through her kindness, generosity, wisdom, and grace.

I am one of those lives.

Mrs. Sullivan, thank you for believing in me before I fully believed in myself. Thank you for your guidance, your encouragement, your friendship, and your unwavering support throughout my journey. It was truly an honor to know you, learn from you, and be in your presence.

Your legacy lives on through the many people you inspired, mentored, and uplifted.

My deepest condolences and prayers are with Dr. Sullivan, the Sullivan family, and all whose lives were touched by this remarkable woman.

Rest peacefully, Mrs. Sullivan. Your impact will never be forgotten.

The D2neXt family joins me in honoring the life and legacy of Mrs. Sullivan and expressing our deepest gratitude for the role she played in helping make this company possible.
